"The care me and my son was given after he was born"

About: Liverpool Womens Hospital / Maternity care Liverpool Womens Hospital / Neonatal

(as the patient),

I had a quick labour in July 2019 when my baby boy was born... Any way it all started when I went onto the mat base my baby was making grunting noises this wasn't picked up till 12 hours later by the night midwifes so she got a snotty baby doctor who moved my baby to the neo natal unit were they did obs on his breathing which all came back fine but I had the distress of not being with my son all night and All day until he came back to the ward about 5. 30pm..

however it was then not picked up again till the night midwife did the obs in my son when she said his Sat's were high.... He. Is on antibiotics for what no one knows the attitude of the baby doctor was disgusting also the attitude of the midwife was disgusting.  We have a right to speak our mind, these midwifes and doctors speak to me discussing I want to know what's up with my son and we're going around in circles cause am getting fobbed off.... I will take this to the echo and I will make them aware of what I have been thro.....

We are sorry that you had such a poor experience when you recently had your baby. Our Maternity Matron Gill Diskin is keen to talk to you about your experience in detail. Please contact the Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) office on 0151 702 4353 or via email on PALS@LWH.NHS.UK and we will arrange a suitable time and method for Matron Diskin to contact you and discuss these issues further.
