The recent care of my 93 year old Father on SAU was excellent. Firstly the professionalism and expertise surrounding his care enabled us, as four siblings, to feel confident he was in safe hands and allayed any fears we had previously encountered elsewhere, when my Mother died in 2006. The compassion, consideration and respect afforded to a sometimes difficult patient with Alzheimer’s was unremitting and genuine. As a next of kin with many questions, I was dealt with respectfully, amenably and patiently, by all staff. In a busy hospital, I appreciate that Doctors do not always have the time to speak individually to patient’s relatives, but I am wholly indebted to those in the Urology team who provided the opportunity for us to discuss my Father’s situation and were solicitous of his welfare. The nurses and ancillary staff were attentive and considerate in every way and couldn’t have been kinder. We are extremely grateful to you all.
