"I have been given a second chance in life"

About: Change Grow Live / ResoLUTiONs Alcohol and Drug Recovery Service

(as a service user),

I went to hospital in September & kept in for 7 days.  In that 7 days this lady came into me on the ward talking about if I would like some help with alcohol. I said please as much help as possible. The lady from Resolutions came to see me on the ward talking to help for me then she said  I have a place for you in resolutions at the hub Castle street Luton for alcohol and drug recovery service. The lady and consultants were happy. I had a meeting with the staff at the hub  & we started plan for me. I went to all the classes every day with my Head coach Saqlan and he looked after me on my journey in all the classes he showed me the right way .

He always rang me to make sure I was progressing on my recovery. He gave me the inspiration and motivation even through the bad days and with the support from trusted family friends from the hub who are in recovery.

I am 9 month and 13 days free from Alcohol and I  have had a graduation sustaining my recovery and received my certificate. Through hard work with coach Saqlan to get to my personal we achieved an interview and got a job at an academy for educational training course for twelve weeks. I am enjoying my job because it is helping me progress for teaching special needs, children and adults homelessness so people can learn cooking skills and that aim ill give them a certificate of basic cooking skills.

I would like the management to become more involved with the clients as one thing that could be improved.

I have been given a second chance in life to keep looking forward and I am a new person back in the community to help others in need and give back to them what I have to learnt from catering knowledge.
