"calming influences"

About: Forth Valley Royal Hospital / Dermatology

(as the patient),

I recently had to attend the minor operations department to have a wart removed from near my eye. I was fearful of the operation as I am terrified of hospitals, but David and Doreen kept me calm and I only had to wait five minutes after my appointment time before they cam to me and the procedure was explained. My preferences regarding pain relief were taken into account. The side effects of the operation and how to deal with them were explained to me. I wanted to let the department and David and Doreen know how much this meant to me.

Doreen and I would like to thank you for leaving such lovely feedback.

It is reassuring to know we were able to help you remain calm, Hospitals can indeed be scary places, but keeping you fully informed at all times, and listening to your needs, usually eases the tension.

We hope everything is going as planned and that you are healing well.

Thanks again

David
