I was transferred from dewsbury to Pinderfields, new to the town had no idea where I was. I came in with a drip in, which had to be stopped due to travelling, I arrived and not one nurse had come to check up on me. After waiting for 5 hours I got up myself to ask if they could start the drip as it hadn’t started to irritate me as the tube was getting tangled. When I asked I was looked and treated as I had asked for something out of the ordinary, i felt humiliated in front of the whole of the nursing staff on the ENT ward. Furthermore, once I had asked this request I was still not asked whether I was okay or if I needed anything, which should be done out of the ordinary as it is their jobs to provide care. I am very disappointed as I have never been given this sort of treatment. The head nurse was very helpful who came afterwards but the trainee nurse and receptionist not so much.
"No interest in care"
