"Waiting to hear about cataract operation"

About: Chase Farm Hospital / General medicine

(as the patient),

a few months ago I was referred by my GP surgery for a cataract operation, the doctor said they would ask for me to be seen as a matter of priority as I have mobility issues and my husband, with health issues of his own, is having to do more and more as my sight becomes more limited.

it's been 4 months since the referral was sent and I'm still waiting for an appointment to have my cataract treatment.

I have called the opthalmology department and left messages, no one has returned my calls. I have also contacted PALS, albeit on a previous separate occasion, as they did not get back to me either I have lost faith in them.

How long does it take? How difficult is it to return a call?
