(as the patient),

Having been a patient at ENT at Ayr Hospital and then referred to Day Surgery at Crosshouse.  I feel I need to say a massive thanks to all the staff in all areas, also to ADOC over the weekend when my face and head started to swell.

The staff of ward 5A with whom my partner spoke to a staff nurse over the phone on the Monday to say swelling was even worse. The nurse advised us to make our way to the ward and we were seen by a doctor and then the consultant Ms Grimond. The pain relief they administered there and then made such a difference to my pain, the antibiotics given kicked in and all ended well.   I feel we only hear bad news about the NHS but I cant fault my experience.

Ouch, that sounds sore and it must have been a bit worrying at the time. What a difference it must have made getting treated speedily.
