"Utterly rude and in helpfull"

About: Stonehill Medical Centre

my wife for an appointment with severe sinusitis. The receptionist snapped “ do you watch the news , the NHS is in crisis you know” . What the receptionist politic view has anything to do with making an appointment I will never know . My my wife is waiting to be referred and is pain on a daily basis . Perhaps the NHS would not be in crisis of the surgery was better managed . You make your patients feel like they are burden and anxious before they even call for an appointment.

It is fact that the NHS is experiencing high demand at present and some departments are struggling to accommodate patient demand.

The biggest challenge facing Practices is recruiting GPs and other Health Professionals, and retaining those staff.

It is never the intention of our staff to make patients feel like they are a burden but we have a responsibility to respond to demand accordingly, ie signposting patients to the most appropriate service or promoting self-care for minor ailments.

We can therefore free up GP appointments for those patients who have no alternative.
