My daughter had a bad fall from a horse and was sent by ambulance to University Hospital Wishaw. I arrived just before she did and was dealt with by a very friendly, helpful receptionist. She was seen promptly and observed in Resus where she was looked after by Lawrence and Louise. Nothing was too much trouble. They kept me informed, were friendly and put my mind at ease. She was taken to the X-ray department by Ross who was chatty and friendly which took my mind of the situation. The doctor who looked after my daughter was also really lovely and informative but I have unfortunately forgotten his name.

There were lots of challenging situations going on during the 4 hours we spent in the department and I would just like to thank and praise the staff for their professionalism and kindness. Management must be very proud of the team in A&E at UHW.

Many thanks for taking the time to post feedback on the care your daughter received whilst attending the Emergency Department here at University Hospital Wishaw, at what must have been a very worrying time for you and your family.

I am so pleased that you found your experience a positive one and the staff will be delighted to read your kind words. The ED staff have a very difficult job, and carry this out with the patient being at the centre of everything.

It is always nice to get positive feedback and I will ensure this will be shared across the Emergency team here, and to those whom you have personally named. I indeed hope your daughter is recovering well from her injuries.
