"The greatest place ever for care"

My mum stayed at St Lukes Hospice on Kenton Road under advice given by St Lukes Community team who felt mum's symptoms were not being controlled well enough at home. Her stay here has been nothing less than Tranquil, she was given her own room and treated with some much love and attention, the love they give to every patient on the ward is something I feel would not be offered in any NHS or private Hospital. One night, she told us that they came rushing in and calmed her down they administered pain relief and didn't just leave her, they stayed with her for a further 30 minutes comforting her and stroking her as if it was their mum's heaven. They care for the patients and give them all the dignity, respect and love that you wouldn't get anywhere, mums now having her discharge arranged the team have helped us so much in feeling reassured that we can continue this level of care either at home or in a nursing home: her symptoms have all been sorted out. The greatest place ever for care.
