For the longest time I can remember, I have struggled to deal with my anger/temper. I tried many different things to try and cope with it, typically avoiding situations that would or could trigger it so as to not let it arise or get the better of me.
My therapist taught me that is not the best way to deal with it. Running from a situation or something is not the way. It's to face it and act accordingly when faced with the exact challenges I dread facing day in day out.
My anger has always been something that has got the better of me. Since seeing Richard and having him explain some excellent techniques and display his confidence in me being able to achieve implementing them, I have genuinely felt a lot better in my day to day life.
In fact, one of the things I feel most empowered by is when I am faced with a situation that would normally rattle my feathers, I am calm, cool and collected. So much so that my friends and family can notice a huge difference in the way I am. It empowers me because I now realise the importance of being this way, as apposed to thinking irrationally.
My therapist was excellent. First class therapist. His approach and his explanations of ‘how and why’ are brilliant.
