Saw the consultant by GP referral.
Instantly she decided I was wrong about my symptoms, even though I've had them for over 5 years. now
And when I asked about the treatment I'd discussed with my GP that lead to the referral she had the nerve to tell me that because she had never heard of the treatment (tonsil smoothing - a well known treatment for tonsil stones) then it doesn't exist.
Arrogant AND ignorant about her own field.
Offering me the no longer recommended tonsilectomy instead.
Utterly appalling.
If you can't keep up with current medicine you shouldn't be practising.
It's that simple.
Needless to say I left disgusted.
Waiting months to see a specialist and to get ...
that ...instead
