"Fantastic medical care which undoubtedly saved..."

I am a long time sufferer with left ventricular systolic dysfunction. In brief my heart is getting weaker and with other health issues every now and then I go into acute heart failure. Early hours 4 am in fact Friday 3rd of may I knew I was having one such episode and managed to get my son to to summon an ambulance. Within minutes the ambulance arrived and the two paramedics attended to me. No doubt they realised that my condition was deteriorating and having done their initial assessment conveyed me from my home to hereford hospital a matter of less than a mile. I do not recall the journey or admission into the hospital but can remember feeling really poorly.

The next next thing I awoke in what I Now know to be the recusitation room with a mask being held tightly on my face doctors and nurses all around me. Leads all over me and drips out of both arms. I later found out I had suffered a cardiac arrest and was administered cpr for 2 minutes which brought me back. A real life saving moment. I was later transferred to ccu where I remained for one week till my discharge. Every single person I met from the ambulance crew ,doctors,nurses,consultants and cleaning staff treated me with the utmost care, dignity and compassion. I have not got a bad word to say
