"Staff attitude from one member of staff"

About: Glasgow Royal Infirmary / Plastic Surgery & Burns (wards 45, 47, 48 & 49)

(as the patient),

I was a inpatient in ward 48 cannieburn plastic surgery unit at Glasgow royal infirmary. This staff member who was a allocated to me made me feel worthless didn't make contact, gave the impression she did not care, and I heard her saying to other nurses "I want that bed out he not a priority" and that i am milking and I am not.

Attended cannieburn since 1994 when I was was a child I am so unhappy about this.

Dear Chazzy09,

Please accept my sincere apologies on behalf of the service. This is not the standard of care we would want for any of our patients and I am very sorry the staff member made you feel this way. If you feel able, I would invite you to contact me and we can discuss further. I understand this is not always easy to do but I am keen to help you as we take any feedback very seriously. You can contact me on 0141 232 1876.

Regards Elaine Burt
