"I have so much respect for midwives"

About: Ayrshire Central Hospital / Maternity care

(as a service user),

I was brought in to be induced on my due date to have my little girl. From the first midwife and student that cared for us to the last we were in great hands. The midwives and doctor who delivered her were amazing. Through what was the most nerve wracking experience of my life I never felt too worried because everyone knew exactly what they were doing, they were so comforting and that reassurance helped the most. I have so much respect for midwives and all maternity staff. They showed so much patience and compassion - the care we both received was above and beyond. Thank you!
