"Post birth problems"

About: Dewsbury & District Hospital / Gynaecology

I had an episiotomy with my daughter in 2018. For some reason my wound didn't heal. I was seen by the lady consultant at dewsbury gynaecology and was instantly told I will need a re stich. The consultant got me booked in for a pre op there and then. And I had my surgery two weeks later. I couldn't fault the care it was outstanding. Unfortunately I still had a little bit that didn't heal so the same lady consultant saw me ASAP. And this time she said she will perform the surgery on me herself. I got booked in for a pre op there and then and had my surgery the following week. All being well I healed. I would like to thank the whole team for taking my problem so seriously. I also have been put on the extra care for my future deliveries. The consultant is so caring and will go out of her way to help you. My luck that I formed a abcess in the same place as my episiotomy after a few months. That was dealt with ASAP again by a and e staff. I went to see the same consultant last week as I was having some problems in the area where the abcess had healed. The consultant had a thorough look and reassured me I'm in safe hands. All in all I was seen straight away..i was dealt with a professional manner. And I left the hospital feeling better and reassured. Plesse do thank all the gynecology team from me.
