(as the patient),

I felt very ill and was asked to report to Victoria Hospital Kirkcaldy by my GP. From the initial care in admissions 1 to my care in Ward 51 everything was superb. This was my first time in hospital despite being 59 years old. I can't compliment the teams who cared for me highly enough. They were kind, caring and very professional in the way they looked after me. I have to particularly single out all the staff on ward 51 were I spent the bulk of my stay, they are a credit to the ward manager Val, who has the place running like clockwork, and the NHS.

Val wished me to pass on how delighted she is to receive the feedback you have given about your recent experience in ward 51 and she will happily share it with her team. To hear you describe your care as being superb, kind, caring and professional is what all staff strive to achieve and it is very motivational when you know you have managed to get things just right.

It made me smile to read your comment that Val has the place running like clockwork as she is renowned for her excellent organisational skills and high standards of care. Val is a great example of effective leadership and her team as you pointed out are a credit to her.
