"cataract"

About: Lincoln County Hospital / Ophthalmology

(as a service user),

I was called to an assessment for cataract. The first assessment said I was good for going forward I then waited 16 weeks. At this assessment I was told my blood pressure was to high and was told I would be removed from the list. I feel that someone during that 16 weeks should have looked at my notes and seen that my blood pressure has been a long term problem and told me to go to my doctor. I now have to see doctor and go through all this process again. I am unable to read and use my computer.

We am sorry to hear of your issues and you fell let down by your experience in Ophthalmology.

As your story is anonymous, we are not able to see how and why this happened. Could we ask that you contact the PALS team at Lincoln pals@ulh.nhs.uk and they will be able to liaise directly on your behalf with the ophthalmology team who can explain everything to you and help
