I got a call back off a doctor after waiting 5 hours. The doctor suggested that I make an appointment with the nurse. I wasn't able to call the surgery immediately as I was at work. I therefore called at 09:05 the following morning and was put in their call queue. After being on hold for 45 minutes! I decided to use a separate telephone and see if I could get connected any earlier. After 3 minutes this call was answered, while I was still on hold from my original call! When I mentioned this, the receptionist said they are answered in order. I explained they couldn't be as I was still on hold and she could hear the phone in the background, but she completely ignored me. I then proceeded to book a nurses appointment, to be told that the next available appointment is on the 11th June (3 weeks away). This is a complete joke of a surgery. The actual consultation with the GP's is fine, if you can manage to see one! I would suggest if you haven't been connected in 5-10 mins then you try calling back, rather than waiting online as your call will probably just be ignored.
