Over Mother’s day weekend, Mick suffered a fall down the stairs due to an irregular heartbeat. Despite the ambulance service being stretched to over capacity, a bulging Majors and rhesus department, we were dealt wit kindness and professionalism throughout. Had a loop inserted to monitor pulse, and sent home on the Monday. Unfortunately, had another episode 28th April, and again rushed into Majors.... absolutely packed, so after being reviewed , was allowed home to come back on the 29th to cardiology outpatients. Several funny turns later, and admitted to ward 23 for pace maker. After a few glitches , and again outstanding care by all, he was finally allowed home today. Cardiology appointment in Early June. With all the bad about hospital care, we needed to post this, as we were very impressed, grateful, and in awe of the wonderful staff you have at this hospital. They do a fantastic job despite the lack of staff and beds.
