"Fertility treatment"

I have been receiving fertility treatment for 5 months and have had a great experience. I think that it is really helpful that you have the same fertility nurse throughout the treatment as you get to build up a relationship with them. Going through treatment is a very stressful and upsetting time but the team are really positive and helpful throughout the process. We have been really lucky that we were successful on our 5th round after trying for years to fall pregnant and it was lovely to see the same nurse for our first scan of the baby. We were kept fully informed of the next steps should the treatment have not worked after 6 months and was made to feel that we would still have options available to us. The only thing that I did find hard during our visits to the hospital is that you have to walk past the pregnant people waiting for their scans and you sit in the same corridor. You do feel a little isolated by being told to wait at the end of the corridor and you can see all the happy pregnant people waiting at the other end, as fertility treatment is such an emotional time sometimes I found this difficult.
