"Long wait and no explanation"

About: Stoke Mandeville Hospital / Ophthalmology

(as the patient),

I had an follow up appointment in eye casualty recently at 2.30 pm. I waited for  1 hour and nobody came and said there would be a delay and why. As I had another appointment elsewhere I had to leave without seeing the doctor. The reception people didn't understand this and I had to walk out. I do understand there can be urgent cases impinging on appointments but I do feel there should have been some information given to me especially as the reception people when I went to see them seemed to just waiting around. They clearly had time to tell me the situation.
