"A&E at 3am"

About: Watford General Hospital

I had to go to a&e at 3am on Saturday, 4th may due to a excruciating toothache. It was my first time visiting a hospital as a patient and I must say that the support and compassion received from the staff was really overwhelming. The lady at the reception was really helpful in signing me up and showed a genuine concern to my situation. The nurse who did the triage was the best I've ever come across. He was honest and said there is nothing they could do for toothache apart from prescribe pain killers. However, the waiting time was 3 hours at the time. We said we will wait. Around 10 mins later he told us that the doctor has agreed to see us as it is a straight forward request. The doctor was extremely nice as well and gave me some strong painkillers that got me through the night. He advised us to call 111 the next day. All three of them were really nice and compassionate human beings who made me feel better. Thank you so much for helping me during a very uncomfortable situation.
