I have only been with this surgery for about two months and the service I have received has been shockingly awful. The system to speak to Drs on the phone is beyond flawed. I’ve spent the entire 55 min slot calling only to receive ‘user busy’ On three occasions when it’s vitally important I speak to a doctor regarding a long term medical concern. I was made to feel my long term mental health was nothing but a bit of stress, despite receiving treatment for it for a long period of time. When I first came to register - form in hand I was turned away as it was not yet 11am - however when I arrive in the correct time to register all that happened was they took my form and told me to leave and call again in a week?! Why was it not ok to take the form from me prior if nothing was going to be done. I am already considering leaving this practice to look for else where as I have felt nothing but awful and frustrated and let down by this revise.

Dear Ms Barber,

I am sorry that you have had some difficulties accessing the service. We do have a large volume of telephone calls during the Telephone triage time, but the doctors do try and deal with as many as they can in this time.

To avoid the busiest times of the day for the Reception staff any new registrations are dealt with at specific times only. This allows the receptionists to look at the papers and if necessary request some extra information from patients who fit certain criteria.
