"Follow up appointments"

About: Arlington Road Surgery

I attended the Surgery a few months ago and a referral was made for a Surgeon to look at my left knee, this is an historic complaint with the last surgery being in 2005. I then went to the Surgery a couple of weeks ago with severe Gout in my left ankle, catching a Taxi as walking was virtually impossible. The Doctor then put me on medication as he was not sure Gout was the problem. So today, 2nd May 2019, I contacted the Surgery as the ankle had reduced in swelling but I now had difficulty walking and going up and down stairs with the pain extending into my left shin. I did not request an appointment immediately as I know how busy the Surgery gets so I requested an appointment for Tuesday 7th May 2019 early morning as I work in and around Sussex and would be in Eastbourne this day. The first thing is the GP who has been dealing with the issue and my allocated GP is not available, he never is.Then I was not able to per-book appointment with another GP but attend on the day and wait. This kind of practice I find discriminatory against people who try and work through their ailments / injury and the surgery encouraging their patients to take time off work. Also states on the Surgery monitors about "Veterans", false information I call it. Apologies as this is the first and hopefully the final time I have to make a "review" of this nature, appalling treatment.
