"Wonderful infant feeding support"

About: County Community Hospital / Maternity care

(as a service user),

When my daughter was born I had many difficulties breastfeeding, but was very keen to breastfeed as much as I could. I had amazing support from all the infant feeding support workers, who frequently visited my home to help and offer advice, who were kind and supportive by text night and day, always there to help on the facebook page, and who made me feel so much better in so many ways.

Their advice helped me to breastfeed, but also helped me come to terms with the changes in my own body, and to find a balanced approach that worked for me and my daughter, and my husband too! The whole family benefitted and my daughter is very healthy and happy. It was a difficult time at first, and I will always be deeply grateful to the infant feeding support workers who helped and supported us so much. They are invaluable and I honestly don't know what I would have done without them. Thank you!

Hi Veg Grower,

Many thanks for taking the time to inform us of your experiences and congratulations on the birth of your daughter. I am delighted that you found the infant feeding support workers such an invaluable service and I will pass on your story to them. It is great to hear how they not only supported you in your choice to breastfeed but also benefited your whole family unit. Thank you again for sharing your story with us.
