I was treated at the BMI the Cavell as part of a NHS Referral.
My visit was to have an abdominal hysterectomy. From my first consultation I thought the doctor was brilliant, in the way he explained everything and made me feel at ease. In total I did not have to wait long at all from the initial consultation to my actual operation and thought it was all planned well. At no point did I feel I was treated any different to a private patient within the hospital the level of care and respect from staff was as expected. My date for the operation was set and on the day I was told to arrive at 7am which I did and by lunchtime I was prepared and going in for surgery. The operation was a total of two hours approximately and completely painless as I was given both a general anaesthetic and an epidural. Once I had left the operating theatre, I was completely immobile but the nurses on the ward were fantastic. They’re were checking on me every half an hour and as soon as I buzzed they were happy to help no matter what I asked which was wonderful. I just wanted to leave this review as a massive thank you to the Dr and my surgeon, they have been nothing but wonderful to me and of course the team of nurses who took care of me. I will recommend this hospital to anyone for this kind of procedure, they did a fantastic job !! Thank you guys for your care and professionalism :)
"Couldn’t fault it!"
