"Delighted with Spire Lea Hospital, Cambridge."

About: Spire Cambridge Lea Hospital

I had a total hip replacement operation at The Lea Hospital, as an NHS patient. I found the care to be exemplary, both before, during and afterwards. Everything was done efficiently and effectively, and my concerns were both listened to and noted. I was treated as an individual person, not as a unit to be processed. The hospital is well cleaned and maintained and the quality and choice of food were extremely good. I have only praise for the hospital and nothing to offer in the way of criticism. However, I did notice that a lot of the nursing staff seemed to come from a supply or bank source rather than being permanent members of staff. The constant daily change of personnel meant that there was no feel of ‘bonding’ with the people caring for you. I did not mind this, but some people may.
