"poor treatment from NHS"

About: Doncaster Royal Infirmary / Dermatology

I had an appointment for 9.30 am. on 10th. April. When i arrived i found that I was unable to check in at the self service check in. The receptionist couldn't understand why this was so she went away, eventually returning to say that my appointment was cancelled.. When it was cancelled, for what reason or by whom it was cancelled remain a mystery. I have had no explanation, simply left wondering if it is worth bothering to go again. I am aware that NHS staff are under pressure, but this is not the way to win supporters among the public. It wouldn't have taken a great deal of effort for someone to write to me or ring and explain that my appointment had been cancelled so that i didn't waste half the morning travelling for nothing.
