"The kindness my father was shown"

About: Musgrove Park Hospital / Cardiology

(as a relative),

I simply want to say how amazed myself and our rather large family! , were,   by the care given by the staff on CCU and Fielding ward during January and February 2019.   I could not have wanted for better care, his physical / medical   needs were looked after efficiently and professionally, however more important was the kindness he was shown, as were his family and visitors, not complex stuff, simply genuinely kindness, not fussy and over done, pleasant, kind, with a sense of humour.   The care, that good that my father,   chose to stay in their safe hands, until his  death. Staff were supportive of many family members visiting, all staff without exception, appeared happy in their work and this was shown by the smiles, tolerance, kindness, regard for dad and his  family.

Dear Betty

I am so sorry for your loss and really appreciate you taking the time to comment on your experiences during what must be such a sad time for you.

I will share your comments with the Sisters on CCU and Fielding Ward. Our staff are always gratified to hear when we have made a difference.

It is important that we look after our patients' family as well as their needs at times like these; I'm glad that is how you felt.

Thank you for your kind comments

Diana
