"The care shown is exemplary"

About: WestMARC (West of Scotland Mobility and Rehabilitation Centre)

(as a relative),

My husband has recently received a wheelchair from WestMARC, we were quite anxious about going there as we knew WestMARC dealt with some quite severely disabled and injured people. However, the atmosphere there is quite uplifting, all the staff are cheery and welcoming, nothing is too much trouble, the care shown is exemplary.

The staff at the small cafe put you at ease and this is carried through to when you are assessed for the wheelchair.

My husband's assessment was carried out by Claire and when the chair arrived she was teaching Hannah how to make small adjustments to get a perfect fit and assess the chair for total comfort.

Dear februaryzm36,

Thank you so much for submitting your story to us.

We are so glad that despite your apprehension before you arrived we were able to put your mind at ease once you were here at the centre.

We really do try to make the environment welcoming and cheery but really the team are the only ones that make the area a place that makes you feel cared for. I have passed your feedback to Claire who I am sure will be delighted with your feedback.

Many thanks

Heather Richardson
