About: Lister Hospital / Plastic surgery

My experience at the Lister hospital recently was excellent. I had crushed my finger in my car door and needed an operation by the plastics team for nail removal and sutures to the lacerated nail bed.

This was done under local anaesthetic.

I was treated the second day after the injury due to theatre space being full and was an emergency theatre case.

I am full of praise for a very friendly and efficient theatre team - they kept me calm and were very professional and caring.

I was transferred to a side ward and again was treated with care and given tea and toast!

I am a great admirer of the NHS and value their care and expertise immensely.
