"Cardiac Outpatients don,t communicate"

About: Royal Surrey County Hospital / Cardiology

On the last two occasions (in 2018) of contact with Cardiology Outpatient, admin staff have failed to communicate about appointments etc. Phone calls have been made and letters written but still no reply. It is so disrespectful to patients and only serves to increase anxiety and distress.

Surely it cannot be too much to ask to talk to someone about re-instating a cancelled (by the hospital) appointment, test results etc? The silence from Outpatients communicates a don't care attitude and disorganisation, neither of which provide comfort or confidence to cardiology patients.

Thank you for your message.

We are sorry to read that the care provided by Royal Surrey does not appear to be of the high standard that we aspire to.

Please contact our Patient Advice and Liaison Service via email rsc-tr.pals@nhs.net or call them 01483 402757 so that we may investigate.

We value all feedback so thank you for taking the time to let us know your thoughts.
