After having problems for over three years and seeing five different Gastroenterologists I can honestly say the best was kept till last. Dr Mathis  at Royal Alexandra Hospital Paisley has been great. He not only finally diagnosed my problem but actually treats me as a person. I feel that other Doctors in the past dismissed what I had to say and this lead to me having no confidence in them. This can’t be said if Dr Mathis. Nothing is ever too much trouble and he never bothers if I contact him with questions. From the moment I met him I felt completely at ease and I can honestly say I trust him.

Thank you so much for taking the time and trouble to share your recent experience of the Gastroenterology Service at the Royal Alexandra Hospital, which was extremely thoughtful. I have shared your kind and considerate comments with the Consultant concerned and he was delighted to receive them.

It was particularly reassuring to learn that you felt listened to and given the time and opportunity to have questions asked and answered, which has clearly been beneficial.

I do hope that the recent diagnosis of your condition will lead to an improvement in your symptoms.
