"End of life care"

About: Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow / Orthopaedics (Wards 10a, 10b, 10c &10d)

(as a relative),

My aunt had surgery for a fracture neck of femur and post op had complications that she did not recover from. From receiving a call from the consultant, arriving at the ward and spending the last hours with my aunt all staff were great.   I had the dr and anaesthetist visit me in the ward to advise me on aunts condition. The ward staff were so kind and caring, helping me be with aunt in her last hours.

Dear Lizgg

I am so sorry about the loss of your Aunt and my sincere condolences to you and your family.

It means a lot that you took the time to get in touch at this difficult time and I will make sure that we share your post with the Orthopaedics Team.

Take Care

Nicole
