Over the past 12 months I have endured 5 episodes of infections in my legs gradually increasing in severity, each time I had s hospital stay ranging from three to four weeks. On discharge from hospital I came under the care of the OPAT Infection Unit run by Sharon and Dr Tonna. I just have to say that their care, compassion and professionalism is second to none. They work as the perfect team, Dr Tonna being one of those doctors who speaks to you rather than at you, not aloof at all brilliant. Sharon well, where do you start. She is the driving force of the unit, she can not be faulted at all, professional, caring, knowledgeable, compassionate and above all a very nice friendly person. Just what you need when you are feeling down. Thank goodness for the NHS.
Yours sincerely
