"Visit to A&E department"

Dear Pamela,

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us such positive feedback following your recent attendance in the Emergency Department at Eastbourne District General Hospital; we really do appreciate it. First of all, we very much hope you are no longer in pain and have recovered, or are making good progress, from the symptoms you presented with.

The Trust works hard to provide all patients with a high standard of care, and we are delighted to read this was your experience, with staff upholding our values in treatment of kindness, compassion, dignity and respect. Given you must have been in terrible pain to need morphine, it was no doubt a great comfort to you to find staff helpful and upbeat; particularly in light of the fact our Emergency Departments are often very busy, with high numbers of patients presenting for urgent care.
