"Endoscopy Visit"

I attended The Circle last week for an /Endoscopy.

I was extremely nervous and worried about the procedure - to the point of almost cancelling. From the moment I arrived I was made to feel at ease. The staff recognised just how worried I was and were without exception very supportive and caring. My BP was high so I had to rest for a while before the procedure could begin - and my husband was kept informed of what was happening.

Everything was explained carefully and there was plenty of opportunity to ask questions.

I opted to have the sedation and am really pleased that I did so.

I can remember being asked to lie on my left side and having the mouth guard inserted - and then I remember being on my way to the recovery room. After about 40 minutes I was given water then a very welcome cup of tea and some biscuits. I was then taken to the discharge room where I was given my test report and was told what would happen next in relation to a sample that had been taken.

The Centre itself is bright and modern.

The staff were all excellent - and something I had been dreading for weeks was carried out very efficiently and with a lot of care.
