"Excellent staff and efficient service"

About: Royal Cornwall Hospital (Treliske)

I was very anxious about having an endoscopy, but was really reassured by the member of staff who went through the options with me.

Whilst the procedure is not painful it is uncomfortable and feels truly weird, but the staff constantly reassured me.

My discharge was very efficiently handled - the whole procedure was over inside an hour.

All the staff were kind, polite and effective.

A really great service from a hospital under great pressure - you certainly wouldn't know it from the way I was treated.

Thank you for taking the time to share your recent experience at Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust when you had the need to attend our Endoscopy Department recently. My name is Michaela and I work within the Patient and Family Experience Team, part of my role is to ensure all feedback received on here is shared with the relevant staff.

I am delighted to learn that even though you were understandably anxious you were really reassured by the member of staff who went through the options with you and that this reassurance then continued throughout the uncomfortable but not painful procedure.

I am pleased that all staff were kind, polite, effective and provided you with a great service. I will be sharing your feedback and praise with the Endoscopy team and ask that they share with all staff who may have contributed to your care as I know they will be as equally delighted to receive it.
