"Great out of hours service"

About: Borders General Hospital / GP Out of Hours (BECS) NHS 24 / NHS 24 (111 service)

(as a relative),

I had occasion to contact the OOH service for my frail 81 year old mum over the Christmas period then again one evening recently.  

I cannot commend highly enough the service provided on the 2 occasions at Christmas then more recently. From the call handler at NHS 24, and others spoken with there, to staff in NHS Borders, and the nurses who visited, my experience and the care provided to mum was professional, person-centred and compassionate.

Thanks so much for sharing your experience of NHS 24 and NHS Borders Emergency Care Service (BECS) with Care Opinion. I was sorry to learn your mum has been unwell and I do hope she is doing much better. It is great that you feel the care your mum received from all involved was person centred.

For people who require to call NHS 24 on 111, patient safety and a positive patient/caller experience are our top priorities.
