My sister became seriously unwell and was admitted to Forth Valley Royal Hospital in November 2017.
She was assessed as having mental health problems and a treatment plan was started. She did not respond well and her treatment plan was changed which resulted in her responding quite well. It was a long slow process and the treatment had to be repeated. She got to the stage of a reasonable recovery and a trial home stay was planned. She could not cope and was readmitted when the treatment recommenced. Over a period of 16+ months with tender careful planning of her treatment she is finally home with good prospects for her ongoing recovery. The care given in Ward 5 was exemplary and the staff were patient, kind, and extremely caring in all aspects of her care. There were extremely difficult periods which required a lot of understanding but the staff never faltered and always responded professionally and with tender care.
Her room was kept lovely and always clean, the food was very good and the ward provided physio, crafts, events, quiet reading room and communal tv lounge.
Have nothing but praise for every aspect of the whole team and the hospital services.
