"Inpatient on AAU"

About: Pinderfields General Hospital / General medicine

Referred to AAU from Gp. Waited seven hours for any treatment to start! Nobody introduced themselves so I didn't know who my nurse was. Nobody asked me if I wanted any pain relief and nobody came and told me about my treatment. I am been made to sleep on a trolley even though I have back pain. I am a qualified member of staff and feel like no care has been given!!!

Thank you for taking the time to post your comments regarding your recent experience.

I am sorry to read of your experience and it is clear from your posting how frustrated you have been left feeling and for that I am sincerely sorry.

The Trust has adopted the principle of "Hello My Name Is..." and should introduce themselves to all of our patients.

From your posting it is clear that this did not happen in your case.

If you would like our PALS team to look further into your concerns please do contact them via email on myh-tr.palsmidyorks@nhs.net.

Thank you again and I hope you are recovering well.

Kind regards

Clare Blackburn

(Patient Liaison Improvement Lead)
