Horse riding accident in 2014 left me with 2 broken ankles and a broken fibula. A bodge job at Leicester Royal Infirmary lead to arthritis in my right ankle, which became that horrific I lost 2 years of my life not being able to walk, work, sleep, stand, kneel or anything. Fusion in 2016, at Grantham Hospital by Mr Ashok changed my life. The care was second to none, I woke up in horrific pain the nurses came within minutes of the bell being rang. Every time they were friendly and caring made me feel like they actually cared and nothing was too much trouble unfortunately have developed pain in my foot now and had a steroid injection on the Wednesday the nurses remembered me which was lovely luckily I was only in day care until lunch time but the second I was back on ward was asked if I'd like something to eat and was brought a decent cuppa in an actual mug not a plastic cup! ! It's the little things that make being in hospital just a little bit easier but I wouldn't go to any other hospital to be treated for anything to do with my leg.
"It's the little things that help"
