Having looked online to make myself an appointment, it said there were no available appointments. Having spoken to the surgery,
It seems you can longer make appointments online although they are advertising it in the surgery.
I called the surgery to make a routine appointment and was told that the surgery is not making any appointments in advance.
I had to call on the day at 8.00am for an appointment the same day.
Very rarely when you call at 8.00am can you get through.
I asked how the system works for people who have to work 5 days a week and can't take the time off work without giving their employers reasonable notice.
The receptionist repeated that they do not make any appointments in advance.
So in the future, when I need to see the doctor, I am going to have to book holiday from work.
