"Injured Right Leg"

About: Cumberland Centre

My daughter had an accident and fell to the floor and injured her right leg and banged her head. Took her to MIU as she had a previous break to this leg 2 yrs before. Receptionist was very efficient and when my daughter felt faint with the pain we were put in a room with the Triage nurse who helped her recovery & took all her details. When we were called to the nurse she examined my daughters head & felt her leg. We were told she had soft tissue damage & to RICE but not to compress the leg. Given some leaflets on exercises. I questioned whether she should have an xray but was told it wasn't broken so not required. Next day daughter in a lot of pain so took her to Derriford A&E where it was xray'd and found to have a broken Fibula. Now in plaster for 6 weeks. If the nurse in

MIU xray then, could have saved my daughter a lot of pain. Not impressed!!!
