"Excellent care following an amputation"

About: University Hospital Hairmyres / Trauma & Orthopaedics (Wards 1 & 5) WestMARC (Glasgow) / Bioengineering clinic

(as a relative),

A year ago my husband had a lower limb amputation at Hairmyers Hospital where he received excellent care under Mr Vasey. He was then referred to WestMARC for physiotherapy and for a prosthetic limb. Again he has received excellent care, Alison could see that his artificial leg was cutting into him and has now taken a  new cast and had provided a suction belt to make it more comfortable. The team at WestMARC have also reviewed the type of crutches he is using.

All in all there has been fantastic care.
