Long story condensed....I suffered for a about a year with needing to urinate very frequently, I had numerous tests and hospital appointments which came back clear, meaning the problem was in my head. I eventually was able to see a counsellor called Sam, and had 6 sessions with him. The sessions have been invaluable, I`m still not a hundred percent, but I have made massive progress.
I cannot fault Sam, his approach has worked with me, on my first appointment I was very anxious that he helps me fix the problem straightaway, but he has taught me that my problem has not been made overnight, and therefore will not be solved overnight, he has taught me coping strategies, and helped me understand how I have got like this. It was useful and actually very interesting. I am going to keep on with the advice he has given me, acknowledge my wins, be realistic in my expectations, and accept this may be a long process.
I`m happy to answer any questions
