"No acknowledgement"

About: Arrowe Park Hospital / Accident and emergency Arrowe Park Walk In Centre

(as the patient),

My GP advised me to go upto arrows park a&e due to blood clot in left leg and now new symptoms causing onset of blue/grey colouring to my left hand with some associated arm pain! Got to a and e for them to tell me to go to the walk in! Got seen by triage nurse who advised I will need to be seen by a doctor! They made a phone call while I was sat there and said an appointment at 6pm was advised to sit back in the waiting area and the doctor will call me through! Come 7pm still nothing with plenty of people coming and going! Asked receptionist how much longer (as I have 2 kids at home) the same receptionist who booked me in said I never told them I had arrived?? I asked what they meant as they themselves had booked me in but was told not an issue! No apology no acknowledgement, never even looked at me and just dismissed!

We are sorry to read about your poor experience. From your account, it sounds as if this possibly relates to the All Day Health Centre and/or DVT Service, which although located at Arrowe Park Hospital are managed by Wirral Community NHS Trust. If you would like to provide further details or discuss this matter further, their Patient Experience Team may be contacted on telephone 0800 694 5530 or via email wcnt.yourexperience@nhs.net.
