(as a parent/guardian),

My son was admitted to RACH for his operation on his tonsils and adenoids. I cannot thank all members of staff enough for the outstanding care he received. He took it all in his stride ( I was more nervous I think) staff were all friendly and nothing was too much trouble. When we were there the play ladies had a magician and it took our minds off the procedure and my son absolutely loved it. Special thanks to Ebonny from theatre who did a great job of looking after him in recovery and me too! ! And even visited us afterwards which was a lovely touch! ! Well done RACH surgical ward and theatres! !

Dear Kirkwall

The staff endeavour to make every child's hospital visit as positive an experience as they can and I hope that following your son's operation this has not put him off us and he is recovering well. It sounds like he had a great time before going to theatre though with the magician ( he is amazing!).

I will pass on your kind feedback to all the staff who I am sure will be delighted to know they made a difference to you and your son.
