"Durham Treatment Centre for Urology"

About: Sunderland Royal Hospital

Had to drive for more than 45 minutes to attend DTC to drop off my urine sample for a cancer check. Receptionist very dismissive as I didn’t have an appointment, despite showing him an email from my Surgeon. Had to speak to three different nurses trying to explain why I was dropping my sample off, but nobody seemed to understand. After 45 minutes one nurse took my sample and said she’d sort it. Unfortunately the sample couldn’t be processed as the request form was incomplete. What an utter waste of petrol and my time.

Think that this new department looks lovely, but unfortunately staff not as lovely or understanding.

Now have to do this all over again, hoping next time staff more understanding.
